"Hello Darkness my old friend..." Yuu and Billy finally have a much needed talk.

Bill hears the main door unlock, and then close, and the ruffling of clothing in the main room. Yuu glances towards the door, but goes into the kitchenette. He assumes you're not home and begins to cook top ramen.

Yuu hears hear a creaking of the floor as if someone is wandering around in Bill's room, then a sound like someone flopping down onto a bed. Yuu puts aside the chopsticks and turns down the gas, and approaches Bill's room slowly...and tries to peer through the crack, inadvenretenly knocking the door wider...

Bill's room is dark, the curtains drawn on the window, but you can make out the form of someone sitting on the edge of the bed. The room is in disarray, not the usual tidy way Bill keeps it. Drawings, older ones, are piled on the desk, and the motorcycle helmet sits on the floor near the bedroom door. Once the door opens farther, you can see Bill leaning forward, his chin in his hands, staring at the wall opposite.

Yuu-kun stands in the doorway, still wearing his work clothes, and says in a low voice, "I'm making some ramen if you're hungry...plenty for two of us if you like?"

Bill doesn't move right away, then slowly shakes his head, 'no.' He then sighs, and turns to look over at you. "How.... how are you feeling?" he asks, his voice is rough, croaky almost. He looks at you with sad eyes, and a weary expression.

Yuu-kun walks a few steps closer, untying the apron from his waist and tossing it back into the living room, "Kashino-kun must have told you about our little heroic moment. My stupid moment, getting cut for the honor of some biker skank." His hand reflexively touches his side, "It wasn't deep, just bled alot. No heavy lifting for a few more days, but I should be fine." He crosses the room and slips onto your desk, not stepping on anything, "You don't look so good yourself...how are you?"

Bill watches you, and a flicker of relief crosses his face. "I'm glad you are going to be OK. I am sure Rei-kun will be glad to hear that as well." he says, softly then looks down at the floor, laying his arms on his thighs, and lacing his hands together. "I'm just... tired is all. Just tired." he says.

Yuu-kun nods, "Rei'll be glad he can take another swing at me sometime." He grins midly, and runs a hand through his hair, "Did you just get in?" He looks around at the room in disarray, "Did you have a rough...day?"

There is a pause before he answers, "I haven't gone out. For a while now. I went out a few days ago with .... " he stops, shaking his head, "It doesn't matter. I won't be doing that again." he says with a sigh. "I won't be doing a lot of things again." he says, then looks over at you. His pale eyes look watery. Lost. "I'm sorry Yuu. Sorry for everything I did wrong..." he says, then looks away, sniffing.

Yuu-kun moves and sits down next to you, right next to you, on the bed, "I know we aren't on great terms Bill...that's an understand really...but you can talk to me..." He reaches over, laying a hand over your clasped hands, "I don't know what is going on, but I'll listen, if you want to tell."

Bill doesn't pull away from your touch and he shrugs after a moment. "I know. Something's gone wrong. I did something. I always do." he says in a shaky voice. He takes in a shaky breath, then continues. "I don't know how to relate to people anymore. I can't get along with any of them. Not you, not Rei, not anyone." he states, then clears his throat.

Yuu-kun nods, listening, "Well...sometimes in college, people come together and drift apart quickly...it isn't your fault, or my fault...or even Rei's fault. Circumstance brings us together, and pushes us apart..." his hand rests on your leg lightly, "Did something specific happen? Did you two have a fight?"

Bill says, "I made him mad. I always seem to make him mad. I talk to the wrong people. I do everything wrong." he says, then lifts his head up and brushes his dirty hair back from his face. "I was talking to the gang that stabbed you apparently. I didn't know that. They liked my art... that's all I know..." he explains. Another sigh. "I don't plan on talking to anyone anymore Yuu." he laughs, but it is a mirthless sound. "Except for you of course. It's better that way. If you want...." he shakes his head, and gets up from the bed, and walks over to the window, pulling the curtain aside to look down at the grounds below. "If you have any thing you want to do with Rei, I think you should. He's a great guy, just not for me."

Yuu-kun stands, and follows you, placing his hands on your shoulders in a comforting fashion, "I'd say Rei and I are like oil and water... as for the two of you fighting, Rei has a very real sense of what is right and what is wrong, sometimes that seems to override the subtle nuances of people just being each other." His delicate hands squeeze your shoulders, "You shouldn't stop talking to people...just maybe be a little...less naive about it? Know that not everyone is what they seem...and that people have agendas. I promised you I wouldn't meddle in your life any more, Bill...but I just want you to be happy."

Bill tilts his head down, nodding to what you say. "I don't have a life Yuu. I exist. That's all." he saids in a deadpan voice. "I am just going to.... I don't know what I am going to do with myself. I don't want to do anything right now." he says, then reaches a hand up to pat your hand on his shoulder. "I will not do anything stupid, so don't worry about that Yuu." He turns to look over his shoulder at you, his cheeks wet with tears. "I won't let you come home and find me bled out or swinging from the doorframe." he says with a dark laugh.

Yuu-kun looks more than a little concerned and reaches into his pocket, and withdraws his hankie, "If you do it, it better be final...because I'll kill you myself if you do it and fail..." he brushes the hankie over your pale cheeks, wiping the tears lightly, other hand idly playing with your hair, "This will pass, Bill...we're so young, we have so much more to lose and live and love...don't let some dark times knock you on your back for too long." He smiles, as he dries your tears.

Bill grins at you as you tend to him. "I will hold you to that. I've heard dying is the only way out of here. This futile, nothing matters world...." he says pulling back the curtain farther, and rapping his knuckles on the glass of the window. When you finish drying his tears, he turns and walks back over to his bed, and melts down onto it, laying on his belly, and laying his head on his folded arms. "Thanks for listening Yuu, thanks for caring." he says with a sigh.

Yuu-kun stays at the window a few moments longer, and then walks towards the door, his fingers lazily dragging over your back, "Anytime, Bill-chan....sure you don't want some ramen? It'll help warm you..."

Bill shakes his head a moment later, and then lays his head sideways, and closes his eyes. "Maybe I will eat tomorrow. Thanks anyway Yuu-kun..." he says softly, "I'm going to sleep some more," then goes quiet.

Yuu-kun pauses at the doorway and then leans down, kissing your temple, "I'll be up for awhile...call if you need anything, ok? Rest now..."

Bill shifts a bit on the bed, turning his head to the wall, and sighs. He mutters something, but it could just be him talking in his sleep.

Yuu-kun pauses in the doorway, for a long moment, then slips back into the main room, leaving the door open as it was originally.
