Schuldich (Schuldig) Name: Schuldig ---------- Schuldig is a fascinating creature- the type of villian audiences love to hate. He kills seemingly without guilt or remorse and loves to mess around with the heroes' minds. Quick reflexes and an uncanny ability to leap from the balconies of tall buildings to the ground unharmed make Schu a skillful and dangerous adversary. Not too much is revealed about Schuldig's background. He is apparently not Japanese- it is generally believed he is German, considering his flagrant use of the language- but his real age and nationality remain a mystery. Then again, Farfarello also uses German in the manga and he's generally thought to be Irish. ^^ Perhaps it's just because their current base is located in Munich that they are familiar with the language. He and the rest of Schwarz once lived in an institute for the "gifted," located somewhere in the Alps, near Austria. This facility was not a particularly pleasant place; as experiments with varying degrees of cruelty were habitually performed on its residents, probably in the guise of "training." Due to the nature of the facility, most residents are not allowed to leave. It is unclear how Schwarz was formed. The manga, the four members are based in a Takatori-owned building in Germany. Their function is pretty much the same as in the anime- to protect Takatori and do his dirty work- but they don't seem to be a cohesive group yet. Upon the discovery of the existence of Weiß, Schuldig pens the name "Schwarz" for the group to oppose them. ---------- Personality Schuldig can best be described as a deranged trickster. His formidable powers allow him access into anyone's mind and he happily plunders away to suit his needs. This does, however, have its drawbacks. Sometimes he is overwhelmed the the cacophony of voices in his mind that he can no longer differenciate between his thoughts and others'. Because of this, he often seems to operate at a pitch of near hysteria- seizing the moment, any opportunity that presents itself, turning the unwelcome invasion into his mind against the unsuspecting attackers. Other times, he is content to sit in the background, watching and observing, storing as much information as he possibly can in the event that he can use it against someone later. He enjoys getting into people's heads and playing around with whatever he finds in there until his victim is so turned around, he or she doesn't know what's what anymore. In the anime, he is impulsive and doesn't seem to ever regret his actions, even when he is called out on them. He possesses a lightning speed that allows him to dodge blows and bullets alike. With a laugh that could drive any sane person into a madhouse, Schuldig is a ticking time bomb, waiting to attack when it is least expected, and with devastating results.
