Assignment complete
An IC RP with Ginny Weasley, and Viktor Krum.
Ginny was sitting in the library, finishing up her lat charms assignment that Flitwick had given her an extention on due to her mistake on the previous assignment. I mean it was an easy mistake, turning animals into clay pots or turning clay into animal pots. Though Ginny did have to admit it was a dumb mistake and she was rather embaressed, but ever so greatful for her extention from the professor.
Viktor paused in his correction of the Hufflepuff 5th Year essays on Cleaning Charms, and rubbed at his eyes. He sighed, then looked around at the empty classroom. It was getting dark, the late afternoon sun providing almost no light now. With a weary "Lumos!" he ignited both the fireplace and a pair of candle sconces to give him more light to work by.
Ginny looked over the last paragraph of her essay and set down her quill. She reached down to gather up her belongings and stuffed them in her bag. She had been getting some strange looks lately for being unsocial. So she was used to the few stares and worried looks. She just smiled to herself, scooped up her essay and headed out the door of the library and down the hall till she was just outside of Flitwick's office. She knocked lightly on the door.
Viktor had just finished stack number one of the essays, when the knock came upon the door. He glanced around the room, then remembered Professor Flitwick had gone to speak to the Headmaster. Scowling, he called out in a deep, and hopefully, off-putting voice, "The Professor is not in!" he said, his accent particularly heavy at the moment.
Ginny poked her head in the door. "Um...well professor Flitwick gave me an extention on my cleaning essay....I just wanted to turn it in because he said before 8:00 and it is almost 7:50. " She looked down at her shoes, waiting for a reply.
Viktor looked across the class room at the diminuative redhead and mentally tried to recall her name. Then his eyes alit on her coppery colored hair. Ah yes.... A Weasley... he thought with no small amount of bitterness. He, like Professor Snape, showed no sign outwardly how he felt, and made a motion with his hand, palm up fingers waving back toward himself, beckoning her forward. "Vell then, you are just in time then..." he said softly.
She looked up to see him motioning for her to come in. Her face lit up slightly and she walked towards Krum with an outstretched arm holding her essay. "Here it is," she said softly.
Viktor gave her a long appraising look as he acccepted the paper, then looking around the desk, spotted the pile for Gryffindor, Fourth Years, and deposited it on the top. He gave it a satisfactory pat, then shook a stray strand of his hair out of his face as he looked back over at her. He gazed into her eyes for what seemed a long moment. Considering.
Ginny watched him place her paper neatly on the desk and smiled. She intently watched as he turned back to her. She helf his gaze for a few moments, but it almost seemed too much, and she started to turn red with a dumb expression creeping across her face. She opened her mouth to say something, but all that came out was a squeek. She quickly shut her mouth and turned to leave.
Viktor blinked his large dark eyes slowly at her, breaking the trance like stare he was in, "Is dere anything else Miss Veasley?" he asked, taking care to keep the tone in his voice neutral. He knew he personally had nothing against her, only her older brothers. Still.
She jerked her head back around and quietly said, "No... I think that was all, thanks." She nodded to him in assurance and picked up her bag that she had let sink to the floor and flung it over her shoulder.
Viktor nodded, then watched her depart, then as an after thought, he said in a low voice, but with enough power to carry to her, "My best to your brothers..." he said in a sotto voce, then looked back down at his papers to correct, and grabbed the next stack. Slytherin House, oh this would be amusing.
Ginny didn't turn around, just let the words sink in. She paused for a second and then turned to walk down the hall. Gryffindor tower was her goal, sleep was what she needed.
Viktor waited for her to be completely gone from the room before he allowed himself the satisfaction of a derisive snort. His dark eyes lingered on the empty doorway for just a moment longer, then after pouring another glass of wine for himself, resumed his work.
Ginny stumbled through the portrait, her eyes beginning to blur. It seemed all she had been doing was homework non-stop for a week. That's what she got for falling too ill to come to class for a couple days. She ascended the stairs and into her dorm. With a silent thud her bag hit the floor and she was curled up in the warmth of her covers."

The end of another day.
Written in Bulgarian:
So my time is filled, with classes, repetitions of what I learned last year and years before at Durmstrang.
Filled with correcting papers and helping teachers with classes. I do not see how ANY of the tasks I am given are to help me to prepare for a teaching position, or even encourage me to do so. It seems to be dull, monotonous, tedious, and in most cases, glorified babysitting.
I could be more fullfilled playing Quidditch Pro full-time I think. I know the adoration and pay would be better, not to mention the 'fringe' benefits.
Oh screw it all. Screw this job, screw Quidditch, screw the Weasleys, screw everyone. I think I shall sneak out and get royally pissed. Oh that's right... I don't need to go out.

How trite, how cliche...
I scoffed at other students when they did the same thing. Called them weakminded and inept excuses for scholars when they misplaced a book, a piece of parchment, a journal...
How the mighty have been humbled. Pride cometh before a fall. And so on, and so on. In any case, it is of no great loss to posterity, should I ever have any. Nothing of any real note had happened to me in the past weeks. Hermione is still circling in her orbit, and I am not sure at all of her romantic status with Mr. Weasley or anyone else for that matter.
I occaisionally see, and speak to Harry Potter. We keep it to neutral topics of studies, and Quidditch. He is waffeling on my offer to take him to Bulgaria for a weekend visit. Ivanovich was keen on the idea, I think he might have alterior plans. I am not sure. I am of course suspicious of my team mate and his motives. I love him like a brother, but am not foolish enough to trust him implicitly.
What else is there to report? Well, I still have no social life. Not that that is a large concern for me. I am not here, as I have said before to court and woo. No, I am here to do grunt work for soul minded impotent old professors, and loose myself in the drudgery of schoolwork.
Believe it or not, I am seriously considering the invitation extended to me by Marta to come spend the Holidays with her and Igor Karkaroff. I off course know what sort of Holiday Cheer she will be expecting from me. I get to provide the Yule Log for her fire.
And do you know what? At this point in my life, I don't care. I don't have a problem with it, and will most likely go unless a miracle occurs in the next week, and Hermione comes to her senses. Sure, like that will happen. I think I can pretty much look forward to a two week holiday of debauchery. Bring it on as they say.

Hallo again Harry
An IC RP with Viktor Krum and Harry Potter.
Viktor was still chuckling to himself over the discussions going on in the room he had just left. "Shakespere..." he muttered to himself, laughing under his breath. "I almost vish I vas staying here over the break to see vhat a travesty this vill turn out to be." he commented as he walked along the deserted corridor, heading back in the general direction of Gryffindor House.
Harry was wandering in the same direction, walking very slowly, a slightly upset look on his face. He was currently stareing off into space, seemingly unaware of his surrondings as he walked forward.
Always alert, that is why he was the Seeker after all; well, for Bulgaria if not for Hogwarts, Viktor saw Harry approaching before he had been seen. He stopped, and waited for the younger Seeker to reach where he was standing. "Hallo Harry Potter." He said in his heavy Bulgarian accent, and gave a neutral expression to his famous housemate, and Quidditch counterpart. "How are you this evening?" he asked when Harry looked up at him.
It took Harry a moment to realize he was being talked to, he was so deep in thought. His green eyes raised to Victor's own. He blinked for a moment before becoming aware that a response was needed, and since he had no idea what had been said he swallowed and gave the best he could in a situation such as that.
"What?" he questioned softly, he didn't want to come off as if he had been ignoring Victor. Which he had, but not purposefully.
Viktor gave the younger student and amused grin, which on Viktor was a rather odd looking expression. "I asked... how are you doing...." he said purposely speaking slowly, as if to someone who's primary language wasn't English or they were a might thick. "Did you hear about the Play they are putting on over the Vinter Break?" he added, making an attempt at being conversational.
Feeling a bit embarrassed Harry flushed slightly when he was spoken to slowly. He smiled slightly, amused with himself. Perhaps because smiles were in fact infectious.
"Yeah, but I haven't really been paying much attention though. I've had a few other things on my mind."
He raised his eyes again to meet the other quidditch players' "Are you planning on trying for a part?" He furthered the conversation in an attempt to get his own mind off more troublesome thoughts.
Viktor actually burst out laughing at that. Something he would never have done say a year or two ago. He bent over slightly, slapping a hand to a nearby stone wall in amusement. "No... I haff no aspirations to be an actor..." he laughed. "I haff enough fame as it is just being Viktor Krum the Seeker for Bulgaria..." he explained, then in an uncharacteristicly familar maneuver, clapped a hand to Harry's shoulder, "How about you Harry Potter? Perhaps you could haff the lead, your famous name would bring in many spectators." he joked, then quickly went serious again, remembering how Harry, like he, hated the notoriety thrust upon him.
Harry looked down.
"Thank you, but, I don't know. I think I'd rather just watch a play. Besides," he smiled slightly. "Then people wouldn't know the Characters name, they'd all be like 'Harry did this and Harry did that'." He seemed to realize something then and looked slightly mortified. "I mean, I'm not trying to say that.." He searched for the words "That.. I'm better or anything."
His eyes lowered again, his shoulders slumping slightly as he sighed again. Why was he always shoving his foot in his mouth?
Viktor smiled warmly, and gave Harry's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "I understand how you feel Harry. I vas just kidding you..." he said, then tossed his hair back out of his eyes. "If you are not going to be in the play, vhat are your plans for the Vinter Break?" he asked, leaning against one of the corridor walls.
"I'm staying here. Hogwarts is my home, more then anyplace else." Harry looked back up again, glad to be off the last topic.
"I really can't go home to the Dursley's. They're my Aunt and Uncle." He added in case Victor didn't know.
"They really wouldn't want me there anymore then I want to be there." He smiled, realizing he was making it sound horrible.
"Hogwarts is really great over the Winter break besides. Are you going to stay here?" He realized he didn't yet know even Hermione and Ron's plans for the break, he really needed to stop isolating himself.
Viktor didn't seem to notice the slight to Harry's relations. He wasn't particularly close to his kin either, so it was no loss to him either. "I haff been invited to spend the Holidays vith Professor Karkaroff and his.... " his voice trailed off oddly, as if the next word was hard for him to find, or say. "Family." he said at last. "They haff been very kind to me. It vill be a pleasant time I am sure." he said, with about as much enthusiasm as someone headed for some painful dental work
Harry very nearly winced at his tone. Maybe he would have fun despite his obvious reluctance.
"Well, I hope you do. You never know, something great could happen.. like" He searched his mind for something. Finally shrugging when he could think of nothing suitable.
"I'm sure you'll have some fun" He offered. With a slightly forced smile and an almost amused sympathy in his eyes.
Viktor shruggedit off, like it was no big deal for him, "Haff you given any more thought to my offer to come to Bulgaria for the weekend to see Team Bulgaria practice?" he asked with a shy smile. "I know the Captain, Dimitrov, he vould like to haff you come and vork out vith us sometime." he smiled.
Actually, Harry had given it some thought, and he nodded slowly, considering it again. It would get him out of here, he could get his mind off of his missing godfather for a while and he would love to see the practice.
"Yeah, I think I will go with you, as long as Dumbledore says its ok." He felt a certain amount of relief then, as if he had let out something bottled up inside.. He smiled at Victor. "Thank you for asking"
Viktor smiled wided then. "You vill? That is vonderful!" he exclaimed. He had never really had friends before, and Harry Potter was the closest thing he had to a friend, now that Hermione had abandoned him for Ron. I vill send an owl to Dimitrov, and confirm things vith him. I vill be in Bulgaria for the whole of the Vinter Break, you can come and visit us for a few days or as long as you like." he beamed, forgetting for a moment that he was going to be the guest of the Karkaroffs for the duration. That would come to him later of course, for now, he was too excited at the prospect of Harry coming to see him practive with his team.
Harry smiled, happy to have made Victor happy. "Thank you. I might just take you up on that too." He thought, If Ron and Hermione were both going home for the break it would be lonely here, he really ought to talk to them and see what was going on. He glanced again at Viktor, feeling the conversation draw to a close, though he didn't really want it to. It had been a while since he really talked to anyone at all, and he was enjoying the pleasant conversation. "So..." He tried to think of something more to say but couldn't so he let it hang there. Hoping perhaps Victor would add to it.
Viktor seemed to be enjoying the conversation as well. In fact, Harry and Hermione were the two people in the entire school he felt comfortable talking to for any length of time. Now that he was no longer with Herimione, his social circle had been cut in half. "I shall make the appropriate communications vith the proper people, and I shall let you know vhat is decided." he said with a smile, then happened to glance at his watch. "Ach. I must go Harry Potter, I haff papers I need to mark for Proffessor Flitvick before supper tonight." he said, then gave Harry an aplogetic grin. "Thank you again Harry Potter, I shall see you later in the Common Room perhaps." he said with a grin that was all little boy. Again, it was a rare sight to see on the normally surly Bulgarian's face.
Harry smiled right back at him. "You know, You can call me just Harry. You don't need to say my full name." He might as well try afterall. "We are friends afterall, arent we?" Harry hoped he didn't overstep any bounds. "Oh, and It was nice talking to you too." He nodded his smile growing in responce to the grin he was receiving.
Viktor gave Harry a warm grin, and something shone in his eyes that was quite unfamiliar, but pleasant to see. "Thank you, Harry." he said gratefully, reaching out a hand to shake Harry's. "And you can continue to call me Viktor," he said with a playful smirk, then let go of Harry's hand, and walked quickly off down the corridor. His whole gait was of one that was feeling quite releived, and alright with the world as a whole"

Interesting.
Written in Bulgarian:
Yesterday had a couple of interesting things occur. The students here, some of them anyway, are of the mind to put on a play during the break, cast made up of those remaining here over the Holidays. I happened to be roaming the halls when I came upon the meeting and lingered in the back to listen.
Even some of the Slytherins showed up. Well, the abnormal Slytherins, Zabini the Harpy, and Grim, the trouble magnet. He still looks like a mindless git to me. Needs to be put out of our misery in my opinion.
After I had seen enough of the meeting, I slipped out lest I be considered for a role, and found Harry Potter walking about. We talked briefly, and he at last agreed to accompany me to Bulgaria for a visit. I was so taken back by this, I invited him to come with me over the Holidays, momentarily forgetting just WHO my Hostess was going to be for the break. With Karkaroff still in hiding, she is of course "Alone against the world, and so lonely for a sympathic ear..." as she puts it. Somehow, I get the feeling it's not my ears she is most interested in.
I will be sending them an owl to inquire if the household can accept one more for a portion of the Holiday. I am sure they will be thrilled, but I must consider above all, Harry's comfort and safety. Not that I think anyone would attempt anything on him, but still. I am not foolish enough to completely trust my fellow countrymen.
Well, more later. I am now carefully putting this journal away to prevent misplacing it once again. I still am amazed at my stupidity. Luckily for me no one here reads Bulgarian.

OWL POST to Marta Karkaroff
Written in Bulgarian:
My Dearest Madame Karkaroff,
I am writing to you to let you know I am looking forward to my Holiday visit at your home this Winter. I am sure the hosptitality and company will be non pariel, and a treat for one such as myself.
The reason I am writing to you is that I have a friend at the School, I am sure you have heard of him, Harry Potter. He is in my House here at the School, and I have been trying to get him to visit our homeland and to see how the Bulgarian National Team practices Quidditch. He has finally consented, and wishes to come join me for part of the Holiday Break.
I know this is a very improper intrusion on your hospitality to ask if I can have a friend join me. However, I have great faith in your kindness and hospitality, and the same desire I have to show our besst to a visitor to our land. I shall await your reply,
Fondly, Viktor Krum
